Investigation into bomb threats to Delhi airport, at least 8 hospitals in the city | Delhi News

The Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport as well as at least eight hospitals in Delhi received bomb threats on Sunday, fire officials said.

Police and bomb disposal squads were deployed at Terminal 3 of the airport after receiving a phone call at 6:20 pm. Officials say that nothing suspicious has been found yet.

Teams were also deployed at hospitals in the city, including Burori Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, which received bomb threats via e-mail on Sunday afternoon.

“A hospital in north Delhi's Barari received a bomb threat email. Bomb disposal teams are at the spot. Nothing suspicious has been found,” DCP (North) Manoj Meena said.

Dr. Ashish Goyal, MD of Barari Hospital, received the threat around 3 pm. “I have access to the hospital email on my phone. The email says there is a bomb in the hospital. I reported it to the police as soon as I saw it and it appears to be a hoax. The police are investigating the matter. is doing,” he said.
