iQoo Z9 Lite launch timeline, colour options tipped; Could be rebranded Vivo T3 Lite 5G

The iQoo Z9 Lite, a budget variant that is said to be part of the iQoo Z9 lineup, could launch soon. The company is yet to confirm the handset, but leaks suggest that it will likely be a 5G offering. According to rumours, the smartphone could join the iQoo Z9 5G and iQoo Z9x 5G, which were launched in India in March and May this year respectively. Now a tipster has suggested that the iQoo Z9 Lite is likely to launch next month.

Tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) claimed in an X post that the iQoo Z9 Lite could launch in mid-July as the company's “first entry-level 5G phone”. He added that the alleged handset is likely to be offered in two colour options – Blue and Brown.

The iQoo Z9 Lite is speculated to be a rebranded version of the Vivo T3 Lite 5G that is set to launch in India on June 27. The upcoming Vivo handset is touted by the company as India's “most affordable” 5G-supported smartphone ever. If the rumours turn out to be true, the iQoo Z9 Lite will have the same specifications as the Vivo T3 Lite 5G.

The live Flipkart microsite confirms that the Vivo T3 Lite 5G will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and an AI-backed Sony rear camera system. It is teased to come in Black and Green colours. More details are expected to be revealed before the launch.

The Vivo T3 Lite 5G is expected to be priced under Rs 12,000 in India. Therefore, the iQoo Z9 Lite can also be listed in the same range. It is worth noting that the iQoo Z9 5G and iQoo Z9x 5G have a starting price of Rs 19,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively in India.
