Islamabad High Court ordered Imran Khan to be transferred to Adiala Jail under tight security.

The special court is hearing the cipher case against Khan in Attock Jail due to security reasons.

The Islamabad trial court that sentenced Khan to three years in prison had directed the authorities to keep him in Adiala Jail. However, after his arrest, he was transferred to Attock Jail.

According to the report of Dawn newspaper, during the hearing, Justice Farooq remarked that “the status of PTI chairman’s punishment has changed. All the under-trial prisoners of Islamabad are detained in Adiala Jail. He then questioned why the PTI chairman was kept in Attock (jail) until now. Why not in Adiala Jail? The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court reminded that according to the “original order” of the Toshakhana case, Imran was to be kept in Adiala Jail.

To this, Dougal replied that ‘when the PTI chairman was detained in the cipher case, the court order was to keep him in Attock jail. Meanwhile, Khan’s lawyer Marwat requested the court to provide an exercise machine to the former prime minister as he was a “sportsman”.
