Jalen Hurts, Jason Kelce, other Eagles played despite illness

Several Eagles players, including quarterback Jalen Hurts and center Jason Kelce, said after Monday night’s win at Tampa Bay that they were playing despite the illness.

The illness was described as having flu-like symptoms. It is not clear whether the players were tested for Covid or not.

Hurts said he has played in prime time before feeling sick and he just needed to focus on execution.

“This isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with this had to play something like this, And it always happens on Monday night for whatever reason, Hurts said, via ESPN.

Kelsey said other Eagles were also feeling sick.

“It feels like everyone in the world is right now. It’s kind of growing rapidly again. There were a lot of people on our team this week. , , “It’s probably that time of year right now in Philly,” Kelce said.

The Eagles will have a short week to prepare to face the Commanders in Philadelphia on Sunday.
