Jamshed Sharmahid's daughter blames Biden-Harris administration for execution in Iran

The California resident and daughter of a German-Iranian dual citizen who was executed by Tehran on Monday criticized the Biden-Harris administration and the German government for their alleged inability to save them.

Gazil Shermahd posted a video of herself on Monday night – dressed in all black – as she silently mourned the death of her father, Jamshed Shermahd, and like female protesters in Iran's Women, Life, Freedom movement. She was tying her hair back.

Gazelle criticized the silence of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of State Antony Blanken and German Chancellor Olaf Schulz, whose governments he described as “incompetent and corrupt”.

“What did (#US & #German) do for 4 years when their German-American was kidnapped in Dubai and forcibly taken to Iran?” Gazelle posted on X.

“As an American-German citizen brutally and shamelessly kidnapped, tortured, held hostage for 4 years and (if confirmed) by the world's largest terrorist organization, ostensibly to carry out Israeli attacks on the government.” killed him to take revenge, so it must be immediate now there are undeniably serious consequences for them,” he added.

Iranian authorities announced that Jamshed, who lived with his family in Glendora outside LA, was executed early Monday after the Islamic Republic found him guilty of planning an attack on a mosque in 2008. 14 people were killed and over 200 injured. Amnesty International called it a hoax.

Ghazil and his family have long disputed Tehran's claims, advocating for Jamshed's release after he was kidnapped on a flight to Dubai in 2020.

It was specifically excluded from the 2023 deal in which $6 billion – currently frozen – was handed over to Tehran in exchange for five prisoners because the 20-year-old US resident was not a US citizen.

The heartbroken daughter has long contended that her father, a green card holder, should have been included in the Levinson Act agreement — named after Robert Levinson, the former FBI agent who disappeared in Iran. , which protects US citizens and US citizens. Hostage abroad

Ghazil also blamed his father's death on the US deputy special envoy to Iran, Abram Paley, who met with him last year and whose office is investigating Jamshed's death.

“You left him to die, while the Biden-Harris administration gave $6 billion to his kidnappers and, if confirmed, his killers,” Gazelle wrote.

“We do not want any statement or condolence that does not include the immediate return of my father (dead or alive) and severe punishment for the killers of the Islamic regime,” he added.

Along with the terrorism charges, Tehran accused Jamshed of planning several other attacks through Iran's little-known Kingdom Assembly – an opposition group that restored the monarchy that was overthrown by the Islamic Revolution in 1979. trying to do

Iran has never provided evidence for its claims against Jamshed, who was denied the right to defend himself in court.

Paley said Jamshed's execution “represents the latest heinous act in the regime's long history of international repression and the accelerating rate of executions.”

Scholz described the execution as a “scandal”, with German Foreign Minister Annalina Bierbach threatening “serious consequences” for Jamshed's death.

“We have campaigned tirelessly for Jamshed Shermahd and on several occasions have sent a high-level team from the Foreign Office to Tehran,” Baberbak said in a statement.

He added that Jamshed Shermad's killing shows what kind of inhuman government there is: a government that uses death against its own youth, its own population and foreign nationals.
