Justin Timberlake brought back to NYC by driver after DWI

Justin has handed over the power to someone else, Timberlake.

The pop star, who was arrested for DWI in the Hamptons on Tuesday morning, has flown back to New York, where his wife Jessica Biel is currently filming, a source told Page Six.

We hear that after being released from police custody, pop star Timberlake met his lawyer, following which he called a driver to bring him back instead of driving himself.

Penalties for DWI offenses in New York include both monetary fines and license suspensions, so the pop idol may need to ease into the sexy back.

Biel is currently in the city shooting for Prime Video's upcoming thriller series, “The Better Sister.”

The “Mirrors” singer was spotted leaving the Sag Harbor Village Police Department on Tuesday morning. A source tells us he hit the street after meeting with his attorney.

According to Page Six , Timberlake was at the American Hotel on Main Street with friends before he left around 12:30 a.m.

Timberlake was taken into custody and charged with one count of driving under the influence, as well as two other traffic violations: failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to stay in the proper lane of travel.

A criminal complaint obtained by Page Six states that the “Friends With Benefits” actor claimed he only had “one martini” at the posh Long Island hotel before heading to the friends' home.

However, according to the documents, police noticed that his “eyes were red and glassy,” which could be seen in his photo, in addition to his breath having a “strong odor of alcoholic beverage” during the investigation.

The office of his attorney, Edward Burke Jr., released a statement to Page Six on Wednesday, saying: “Mr. Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations,” and that the attorney will, “have more to say at the appropriate time,” but, “right now they are awaiting full information from the D.A.'s Office.”

Burke is a prominent Hamptons attorney who has represented Matt Lauer, Lizzie Grubman, Jason Kidd, and other VIP clients.

Timberlake, who is currently on tour, is scheduled to appear in court on July 26, but we're told he will not have to attend a procedural hearing.
