New Delhi: The IGI Airport Police has arrested an agent from Kerala for masterminding a scheme to send three passengers to Paris, France using fake Schengen visas. The agent, identified as Rahul Vijay (27), was arrested following an elaborate investigation after three passengers were caught during the immigration process at IGI Airport, officials said on Monday.
DCPIGI Airport Usha Rangani said the incident took place on Thursday, when three people from Kerala—Bejoy Babu, 24, Robinson Stiles, 22, and Pramod Lakes, 25—were arriving at the IGI airport from Trivandrum. arrived When they approached immigration for approval to leave Paris, authorities discovered that the Schengen visas on their passports were fake. A case was immediately filed under the Human Trafficking and Immigration Crimes Prohibition Act.
Three passengers paid agent Rahul Vijayan Rs 7 lakh to cheat him to fly to France. His plan went awry during immigration, resulting in his arrest.
A police team led by Inspector Sumit conducted a raid in Kerala but initially found no trace of Rahul. He was later arrested from Delhi. Rahul admitted to using fake visas and forged documents.
