Leopard spotted crossing road in Bengaluru's Electronic City

This is not the first leopard in Bengaluru recently.

A leopard was spotted crossing a flyover near a toll plaza in Bengaluru this morning. He was spotted at 3.00 am in Bengaluru's Electronic City, a hub for many tech companies. The area is on high alert after the spotting.

The movement of the leopard was caught on CCTV at the Phase 1 toll plaza of the area. In the video, the wild cat can be seen crossing the road only to run back in the opposite direction. It was reportedly moved from the Panak India Company premises to the Netor Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) ground.

This is not the first leopard in Bengaluru recently. A few weeks ago, a leopard was spotted strolling in Bangalore's Jigani area. Officials and policemen suspect that it is the same big cat.

NTTF principal Sunil Joshi said, “We got an update from the camera near the toll gate that a leopard had passed near the compound wall. Precautionary checking was done in the campus. Forest department officials also confirmed again. “No leopard was seen. A camera image showed that it had moved away from the compound wall, so we took necessary precautions as it is a training centre.”

“We have checked all the rooms and CCTV footage and so far there is no trace of the leopard here,” he said. The leopard was seen walking near the path next to the compound, but we don't know where it went next. added

The institution has resumed classes after taking precautionary measures.
