Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hague, is set to sign a new contract at the club with both sides now close to an agreement.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hague is set to sign a new contract with the Premier League side.
According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the deal is “almost agreed now”.
Ten Hague is keen to bring back former United striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy, as part of his coaching team.
INEOS have been given sporting control at United and have led talks with Ten Hague over an extension to his stay, with talks now at an advanced stage and due to conclude this week, as Fabrizio Romano reports.
The report claims that most of the demands have already been agreed and Ten Hague's representatives are now waiting to finalize the remaining personal terms with the Man United head coach.
The move will be popular with supporters who remember the Dutchman as one of the Premier League's greatest strikers following his exploits at United where he scored 150 goals in 219 appearances in all competitions.
Van Nistelrooy is a possible replacement for ten Hague assistant Mitchell van der Gag or forwards coach Benny McCarthy, whose contract expires at the end of the month.
