Tito Jackson, a member of the famous Jackson 5 and the third eldest child of the famous Jackson family, is no more in this world. Variety reported, citing information from Entertainment Tonight, that Tito breathed his last on Sunday at the age of 70. Steve Manning, a longtime friend and associate of the Jackson family, confirmed the news of Tito's death.
Manning told the publication that he believes Tito suffered a heart attack while on the road trip, and his cause of death is officially unknown.
Recently he has been performing with his brothers Marlon and Jackie under the Jacksons' auspices, including as recently as a week ago in England. In recent years he has recorded and performed a number of shows as a blues guitarist either under his own name or with the B.B. King Blues Band.
Tito Jackson played guitar, sang and, of course, danced his way into homes around the world, and the Jackson 5 became an international sensation in the late '60s and early '70s, and their many hits included four consecutive No. 1 hits: I Want You Back in 1969 and ABC, The Love You Save and I'll Be There in 1970.
Tito Jackson has sons Taj, Taryll, and TJ, whom he shares with late ex-wife Delores Martes. He received three Grammy nominations as part of the group during his career, for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group and Best Contemporary Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.
