New Delhi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren on Wednesday stepped up his opposition to the Hemant Soren-led government, accusing it of withdrawing his security and endangering his life.
Taking to news agency PTI, Soren alleged that the withdrawal of his security vehicles was a political conspiracy.
“Give Jharkhand Govt Under a political conspiracy, all the security vehicles assigned to me were withdrawn, risking my life,” Champai said.
“I am not afraid of this move. The people of Jharkhand will provide me security,” he added.
He asserted that he had never compromised on his values and people would give a resounding reply to the JMM-led alliance in the assembly elections later this year.
Responding to Chief Minister Hemant Soren's comment about the BJP “buying” political leaders in Jharkhand, Champai Soren said, “Nobody dares to buy me. I have clarified the reasons behind leaving JMM. given.”
Soren resigned from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and joined the BJP in August, citing the state government's “current conduct and policies” as reasons for his departure from the party. He served for a long time.
He became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand on February 2 after former Saraikela MLA Hemant Soren resigned and was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case.
He resigned from office on 3 July, and Hemant Soren was sworn in as chief minister again on 4 July after being released on bail.
