Summer is nearing its end, and we're close to the start of another NBA season. Training camps are just around the corner. Preseason begins on October 4, and there are just five weeks until the start of the 2024-25 season. To keep you excited until then, we've compiled our annual list of the top 100 players in the league.
Before everyone gets into any real outrage over the rankings, we should note that this list is anticipating the upcoming season. This is our staff's ranking of how we think these players will perform over the next seven-plus months.
While we all do our best to be predictors, we can't truly predict what this season will be like, so players are bound to rise and fall during the season. Maybe a player like Jalen Brunson joins the team. One more will crack the top 10, or maybe this is the year we see Father Time finally catch up with LeBron James.

Ten CBS Sports analysts voted to create this year's list: Brad Botkin, James Herbert, Jack Maloney, Sam Quinn, Jasmine Wimbish, Bill Reiter, John Gonzalez, Ashley Nicole Moss, Adam Finkelstein and Avery Johnson. A few other things to note: Unlike last year's rankings, every team has one representative this year. Also, unlike last year's list, there are no new players included in our Top 100. Okay, enough summarizing. Let's get started.
