The National Testing Agency (NTA) today released the re-examination result of National Eligibility Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 which was conducted for 1563 candidates. Students who had re-appeared for the exam can now check their scores on the official website.

The NTA conducted a re-test for 1563 selected candidates, who were initially awarded grace marks after they claimed that they had lost time in the examination. Officials said that out of 1,563 candidates in this exam, 813 appeared for the re-examination. While the re-test was conducted in the same six cities but in different centers.

According to the data, none of the two candidates from Chandigarh appeared in the examination. A total of 291 students out of 602 from Chhattisgarh, 1 student from Gujarat, 287 out of 494 students from Haryana and 234 students from Tora in Meghalaya participated.

Affected students were given the option to either retain their original score, i.e. without grace marks, or appear for the test again. Revised scores will be issued to students retaking the exam on June 23. However, students who skipped the retest will now be awarded their old original score, which is the score without grace marks.

A festive offering

The Supreme Court has several more petitions related to the NEET UG 2024 results, the majority of which will now be heard on July 8.
