Google recently unveiled the Pixel 8 series globally. Now the round of leaks has started regarding Pixel 8a also. According to the new CAD renders, the design of the Pixel 8a looks similar to the Pixel 8.

The price of Google Pixel in India is Rs 75,999 and the price of Pixel 8 Pro is Rs 1,06,999. However, it looks like a more affordable option is in the works. OnLeaks and Smartprix, known for their unofficial leaks, have collaborated to provide early renders of a roughly 6.1-inch phone called the Pixel 8A.

The Pixel 8A bears striking similarities to the Pixel 8, with two rear cameras and a hole-punch selfie camera. Its design also follows the shapely aesthetic of other new Pixel models.
Abhishek Yadav had already shared pictures of this handset in September. Interestingly, the images are very similar to the leaked renders, confirming Google’s move towards a curved design for the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro models.

It’s notable that Google is maintaining the premium look for its more affordable phones. Emphasizing its commitment to quality, the company has indicated that it is not currently interested in making budget phones. Both Yadav and SmartPrix suggest that the Pixel 8A will be powered by the same Tensor G3 chip as its higher-priced siblings. However, it is not clear whether he has inside information about this or not. Given that Google reserves some software features for the Pro models, it raises questions about what features might be withheld from the Pixel 8A.

The Google Pixel 8 is a compact phone with a 6.2-inch OLED display that offers a vibrant and sharp viewing experience. The screen is also exceptionally bright, reaching 2,000 nits, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus for added durability. Powering the Pixel 8 is Google’s latest Tensor G3 chipset, which ensures fast and efficient performance. It is paired with UFS 4.0 storage, which means you can access your files faster. When it comes to photography, the Pixel 8 doesn’t disappoint. It features a 50-megapixel main camera with advanced Octa-PD technology for excellent low-light performance. Additionally, you get 8x super-res digital zoom for capturing distant subjects. There’s also a 12-megapixel sensor with autofocus and macro capabilities for detailed close-up shots. The front camera is a 10.5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls.

Under the hood, the Pixel 8 packs a 4,575mAh battery, which should ensure you have enough juice to last through the day. It supports 27W fast wired charging and 18W wireless charging, although it’s worth noting that the charger is not included in the retail package, in line with Google’s recent approach.
