NHL Free Agency Day: Evaluating the biggest contracts signed on July 1


Today is July 1, a national holiday in Canada and one of the biggest days on the NHL calendar. This afternoon, NHL free agents became eligible to sign contracts with teams and the action got fast and furious. Within the first hour, Chris Johnston's free agency picks were on the Big Board and already in place. There were a lot of words and a lot of money being thrown around.
