Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition launched in India, priced at Rs. 8.27 lakh


The Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition is based on the XV trim and differentiates itself from the regular Magnite through cosmetic updates.

Nissan India has announced the launch of the Magnite Kuro variant in the domestic market and it is priced at a starting price of Rs. The petrol MT is priced at Rs 8.27 lakh while the Kuro edition equipped with the turbo petrol engine is priced at Rs. 9.65 lakh and the CVT-spec Magnite Kuro variant is priced at Rs. Rs 10.46 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition is based on the XV trim and differentiates itself from the regular Magnite through cosmetic updates. Emphasizing the dark theme, the special edition has been introduced to garner more customers during the current festive season. The exterior includes black elements which further enhance the overall road presence of the SUV.

The compact SUV features a black finished grille section with thick black trim borders, while the skid plate, roof and door handles are also finished in black. The alloy wheels also have black finish with window trims and contrast red brake callipers add to the sportiness. Other exterior highlights are the mildly smoked-out headlamps and tail lamps.

The interior of the Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition includes black interior door handles, a black multifunctional steering wheel and HVAC vents as well as a roof liner. The feature list includes an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options, seven-inch digital instrument console, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera system, etc.

Without any mechanical changes, the Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition features a familiar 1.0L three-cylinder NA petrol engine that develops around 72 hp and 96 Nm. The turbo version of the same engine produces 100 hp and 160 Nm. The special edition NA is available in petrol variant with a five-speed manual transmission while the Turbo can be available with MT or CVT.

The AMT version of the Nissan Magnite will soon be launched in India at around Rs. Will launch with an aggressive starting price of Rs. ₹ 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom) as it may underpin the AMT versions of the Hyundai Xcent and Tata Punch. Currently, the starting price of Magnite is Rs. Rs 5.99 lakh for the base variant (ex-showroom).
