“I wish all the residents of Ayodhya on the occasion of Diwali. I consider it my fortune to be elected from here. BJP is also politicizing our festivals. I hope this brotherhood The festival of BJP is doing its politics. I have not received any pass or invitation for the festival.

Ayodhya, an important Hindu spiritual center, falls under the Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency. The holy city has a Ram temple which was inaugurated earlier this year.

The temple was built after the Supreme Court's 2019 order awarded the disputed land to the Hindu side. The court also ordered the government to provide separate land to the Muslim side for construction of a grand mosque.

The BJP led the Ram Mandir movement that began in the late 1980s.

In a major blow to the BJP, Odhish Prasad defeated Lalu Singh in the Lok Sabha elections held in June.
