'Pakistan will wear bangles if…': PM Modi responds to Farooq Abdullah's comment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hit back at the Indian bloc over Farooq Abdullah and Mani Shankar Iyer's remarks in support of Pakistan, saying India will make the cash-strapped country wear bangles if none wears them.

PM Modi's reply comes in response to National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, who reacted to Rajnath Singh's pledge to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (Pok), saying that the neighboring country does not wear bangles.

Addressing an election rally in Bihar's Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha constituency, PM Modi referred to National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah's recent statement without naming him.

Highlighting the ongoing issues facing Pakistan, PM Modi said, “Pakistan doesn't have to change the boundaries, brothers will see. Now they should come, they don't even have electricity, now we are not oppressed, they don't even have chudis. (If there are no bangles in Pakistan, we will make them wear bangles. They don't have flour, they don't have electricity, now I know they also lack bangles).

“There seem to be leaders in the Indian bloc who fear Pakistan and have nightmares of its nuclear power,” he added.

Earlier, while addressing an election rally in Hajipur, PM Modi attacked the opposition leaders and said that the money recovered in raids against politicians belongs to the poor of the country. During the previous Congress government, the ED seized only Rs 35 lakh, whereas since we took over, the agency has seized Rs 2,200 crore, which will require 70 small trucks to transport it.”

Mani Shankar Iyer mobilized a massive array.

PM Modi's reaction also came in response to comments by senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Iyer who said that India should “respect” Pakistan as it has an “atomic bomb”.

Reacting to Iyer's comments, PM Modi in Odisha accused the Congress party of trying to scare the people of India with Pakistan's atomic bomb, saying that such weak behavior had led to border disputes in the past. Encouraged cross-terrorism.
