Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the motion of thanks to the President's address in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. PM Modi's speech was influenced by opposition leaders' slogans of 'Justice for Manipur'.
The opposition has on several occasions accused PM Modi of keeping quiet on Manipur, which had erupted in May last year when severe communal violence erupted.
The continuous uproar and sloganeering forced Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to reprimand the opposition leaders. Speaker Om Birla criticized Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for directing him to enter the House in protest during Prime Minister Modi's speech.
24×7 for 2047: Prime Minister in Lok Sabha
PM Modi on Tuesday reiterated his '24×7 for 2047' commitment. Amid loud chanting by opposition leaders, PM Modi said, “We put India first in policy and governance.
“Our one and only goal is 'Nation First', 'India First'. Every policy, our decision and our work has been on the same scale – 'India First'. In the last 10 years, our The government is working with it. This country has seen the politics of appeasement for a long time ,” said PM Modi.
Taking a jibe at the opposition, PM Modi said he could understand the pain of those who lost badly after spreading lies.
The Prime Minister said that before his government first came to power in 2014, the country was in the grip of corruption.
He said that when we came to power in 2014, we said that we will have zero tolerance against corruption. Corruption had ravaged the country like a termite but the countrymen have rewarded us for our zero tolerance approach against corruption.
PM Modi talked about the achievements and achievements of his government in the last 10 years. He said that in the third term, his government will work at three times the speed, invest three times the energy and give three times the results to the people of the country.
