Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that. Inauguration of C-295 Aircraft Manufacturing Complex Vadodara marked a pivotal moment for India's defense and aerospace journey.
Modi along with Spanish President Pedro Sanchez inaugurated the Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL)-Airbus facility on Monday. It will manufacture the C-295 military aircraft in India.
The Tata-Airbus facility is the first private sector final assembly line for military aircraft in India.

Modi praised the defense sector, saying that our entire defense ecosystem is being transformed with indigenous warships patrolling our waters, Indian-made missiles strengthening our defenses and indigenous Custom made bulletproof vests are protecting our soldiers. “India is becoming a defense powerhouse and is also working to become a top defense equipment manufacturer,” the prime minister wrote.
