Police are looking for three suspects in armed robbery at a CT smoke shop

Police are searching for three suspects accused of robbing an Ansonia smoke shop at gunpoint Saturday.

According to the Ansonia Police Department, around 7 p.m. Saturday officers received a report of an armed robbery at Moe’s Smoke Shop located at 213 Pershing Drive.

The store clerk reported that a man came to the store's door, and as he opened the door, two more men followed him in. The clerk alleged each of the men had a handgun and they proceeded to rob the store, police said.

The suspects reportedly stole several hundred dollars in cash and about $1,000 worth of merchandise, according to police.

Police said all of the suspects were young males. Suspect No. 1 was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white sweatpants, black and white sneakers and white and black gloves and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, Suspect No. 2 was reportedly wearing a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, white and gray sneakers, purple gloves and was armed with a silver revolver, and Suspect No. 3 was reportedly wearing a black and red jacket, gray jeans and gray sneakers.

According to police, the possible suspect vehicle was a blue Honda sedan parked near the intersection of Pershing Drive and Bridge Street.
