At least 15 sand-laden dumpers, cranes, drones, barbed wire and 150-200 policemen in anti-riot gear are stationed at the Gurugram-Delhi border near Sirhol to prevent any possible attempt by protesting farmers to enter Delhi. were

A Delhi Police official said that dumpers will be used to block the Gurugram-Delhi carriageway if necessary. “We are vigilant and are continuously cooperating with the Gurugram police.” Deputy Police Commissioner Rohit Meena inspected the situation and preparations at the border.
Barricading near Rajokri caused traffic disruption on the Gurugram-Delhi carriageway between 9 am and 11 am.
Gurugram Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Virender Vij said that later the barricades were removed and traffic movement was smooth. “As soon as we came to know about the jam, we communicated with the Delhi Police and removed the barricades and jersey barriers.”
He said that he is vigilant even without any input on movement of farmers towards Gurugram or neighboring areas. “We have also kept barriers and other equipment at the borders ready for their deployment as needed.”
Vij said that traffic diversion plans and contingency measures have been kept ready and will be put into action if they get even the slightest hint of any problem.
Additional police force has also been deployed on the Gurugram-Rewari road. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Manesar) Deepak Kumar Jeoria said they are constantly monitoring the situation and getting real-time updates from other districts as well. Police teams have been kept ready at Punchagon and other places.
