Powerball reaches $1.73 billion after no winners Monday night

The latest prize is the second largest prize in Powerball history.

The latest Powerball numbers have been selected for Monday’s $1.5 billion prize, but no one got them all.

Monday night’s winning numbers were 16, 34, 46, 55, 67 and the Powerball number was 14. The multiplier was 3.

Powerball updated the results late Monday, confirming that the drawing for the prize — now estimated at $1.73 billion — would continue on Wednesday. The cash payment is potentially worth $756 million.

Florida had at least one ticket that matched five and got the Power Play number, all adding up to a $2 million win. The match had five winners who won $1 million in California, Indiana, Oregon and Virginia.

Officials previously said Monday’s jackpot was the third-largest prize in Powerball history. Wednesday’s prize has now become the second biggest prize.

Monday night’s drawing – the 35th in the current round – has the fourth-largest prize among all U.S. lottery jackpots, Powerball said. According to Powerball, Wednesday’s drawing now has the second-largest prize draw.

Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the US Virgin Islands.

The last billion-dollar Powerball prize – an astonishing $2.04 billion – was won in California in November last year. The next largest prize – $1.586 billion – was won in January 2016 in California, Florida and Tennessee.
