India coach Rahul Dravid has revealed that there is some possibility of star opener Shubman Gill playing against Australia in the first match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

Gill is battling illness ahead of India’s clash against Australia in Chennai on Sunday, but Dravid said the 24-year-old has still been ruled out of the clash.

“He is definitely feeling better today,” Dravid said on Friday.

“The medical team is monitoring on a daily basis. We have 36 hours, we will see what they decide. He is definitely feeling better today.”
