The event, scheduled for September 25 and 26, will take place at the IAF’s Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad and will feature a live aerial display.

The use of drones in India is on the rise, spanning military and civilian applications.

Drone technology has rapidly transformed both the civil and defense sectors, increasing efficiency, reducing risk exposure, and increasing capabilities, a press release said.

The IAF has extensive experience in deploying remotely piloted aircraft for intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance operations.

According to the release, to benefit the growing drone technology sector in India, the IAF launched the Mehr Baba Swarm Drone Competition, which showed its confidence in the country’s drone capabilities.

Bharat Drone Shakti 2023 promises to showcase the full potential of the Indian drone industry, with an impressive line-up of over 50 live aerial demonstrations.

The demonstrations will cover a diverse range of drone applications, including survey drones, agricultural drones, fire suppression drones, tactical surveillance drones, heavy lift logistics drones, hovering combat systems, drone swarms and counter-drone solutions, the release said. Included.

The event will also see the active participation of more than 75 drone startups and corporates.

Expected to attract around 5,000 attendees, Bharat Drone Shakti 2023 will serve as a convergence point for a wide range of stakeholders.
