Regardless of who gets the blame, the Giants ruined it with Graham Gano's injury

The Giants became the first team in NFL history to Losing a regular game Despite scoring three touchdowns and not giving up a single one. And he has only himself to blame for that.

It's unclear who is responsible for the Giants not having a healthy kicker. But it wasn't the case. For the organization, it's a failure.

Gano was placed on the injury report Saturday with a groin issue. He suffered a hamstring injury during the opening kickoff.

After the game coach Brian Daboll said that They thought he was fine. However they came to that conclusion, they were wrong. Obviously. Whether Gano didn't talk to him directly or the training staff misunderstood the situation or they should have told him not to run, he just wasn't good enough to stay healthy during a game.

What makes matters worse is that they failed to find a replacement for Gano. They could have moved kicker Jude McAtamney up from the practice squad. With only 52 men on the current roster, they could have made him an official member of the team.

Some teams have punters who can kick and/or kickers who can punt. Some have players at other positions who can punt or kick. The Giants obviously don't fall into that category, so having another kicker in the pipeline was even more important given Gano's situation.

As long field goals become more automatic, teams need players who can kick them, especially in tight division games where the chances of scoring are high.

Again, it's not clear who specifically is to blame for this. Could be multiple people. Maybe just a few people. I wish the Giants were doing this early in the season hard KnocksMaybe we'll find out.
