Road Repair: Repair Entire Pataudi Road, Not Just Broken Strip, Residents Demand Gurgaon News

GURGAON: The condition of the Pataudi road, especially the road from Kadipur Industrial Area to Gadoli has deteriorated over the past few months. The number and size of potholes have also increased, causing problems for residents and commuters who use the road every day.
A contractor hired by the MCG had started work to repair the stretch on one side of the carriageway, but residents said the work was progressing at a slow pace. he said The entire road to Patudi — and not only that — must be re-carpeted, because it has been accident-prone.
Residents and industrialists also handed over a memorandum to MCG executive engineer Gopal Kalavat on Friday asking him to repair the entire road, who assured them that the work would be completed soon.
“The authorities first repaired a bridge, which took about a year. After that, they started the 700-meter long work on Pataudi Road about three months ago, but the contractor could complete only 200 meters. One side of the carriageway has been closed to traffic due to repair work resulting in patchy damage in places. The carriageway that is open has large potholes. Kadipur Industries Welfare Association President Shri Pal Sharma said that several accidents have been reported in the last few months.
“MCG now plans to lay sewer lines in this area. We want them to do the work, but it should all be done at a fast pace. At this pace, I don’t think I’ll be able to do it in my lifetime. This road will be repaired,” he added.
Industrialists said that vehicles carrying supplies to factories in the area get stuck in traffic jams daily, which affects production. He said that residents of Gadoli, Saraswati enclave and people moving to new sectors have also been affected.
A report will be sought from the Executive Engineer concerned. I will look into the matter and take immediate steps so that residents and commuters do not face any inconvenience,” MCG Chief Engineer Vishal Bansal said.
However, regarding the re-carpeting of the entire road, he said it would be done only after the master sewer line was laid. The repair work of Pataudi Road will be completed in one and a half months. A master sewer line is planned along the road, so it will be re-carpeted only after the master sewer line is laid. We will fill the potholes,” an MCG engineer informed about the matter.
