Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 leaked: All we expect

Royal Enfield is preparing to introduce a new and powerful bike in the 400cc motorcycle category, the Guerilla 450. According to a report by HT Auto, a recently leaked video of the new Royal Enfield bike was seen without any camouflage, showing two different variants of the bike.

According to the report, one variant stands out due to its striking design, which is adorned in a vibrant red and golden colour palette. The bold fuel tank design is complemented by matching red fenders and golden tail section, setting a distinctive visual tone. This variant also features a round TFT instrument cluster, similar to the one on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, suggesting a premium trim with advanced display features.

In contrast, the second variant takes a more affordable approach, with a simple silver-blue paint scheme. It is equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster and emphasizes on practicality without compromising on style.

The Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 is the brand's second motorcycle to be based on the new Himalayan platform. It is powered by the recently developed Sherpa 450 engine, which is a liquid-cooled single-cylinder powerhouse with a capacity of 452cc. While the specific power and torque figures have not been revealed yet, industry insiders speculate that there could be minor changes to differentiate the Guerilla from its Himalayan sibling.

The leaked images have revealed some of the bike's design elements, including features like LED headlights and indicators borrowed from the Himalayan. It gets telescopic front forks and preload monoshock rear suspension, moving away from the Himalayan's upside-down configuration. Furthermore, the Guerilla 450 prioritises agility with its flat handlebars, alloy wheels fitted with road-oriented tyres and a redefined riding posture for better road performance.

The Guerilla 450 is expected to be lighter than the Himalayan 450, although the exact weight difference is still unspecified. Royal Enfield has set the stage for the global debut of the Guerilla 450 on July 17, 2024, as confirmed by Managing Director Siddhartha Lal in a recent teaser image unveiling.
