Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold 6 designs revealed via dummy units

Samsung will likely unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 during its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024. These two upcoming foldable phones are expected to feature an improved design with a less visible screen crease.

You can now see their design through pictures of their dummy units.

A closer look at the design of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 won't look much different from their predecessors. Their design renders have already surfaced about four months ago, but you can see them again through images of their dummy units. These images, obtained by Sonny Dixon, have been published by 9To5Google.

Right off the bat, you can see that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 now has a boxier design like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The corners of its inner and outer screens are also more squared off than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It is slightly shorter and wider than its predecessor. On the back, it has a triple-camera setup, while the fingerprint reader is on the right side of the phone.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have rounded corners just like its previous model. It has a dual-camera setup, a large cover screen, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

The screen crease on both the dummy units appears similar (or maybe slightly less visible) to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. These dummy units may or may not match the crease visibility on the retail units of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. Both phones are likely to be thinner and lighter than their predecessors.

The story continues after our Galaxy Z Fold 5 review video below.
