Schools in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Delhi will remain closed on Monday (September 16) on the occasion of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi. Schools and colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Delhi will resume tomorrow, September 17. However, in a few areas in Telangana, schools will remain closed on Tuesday also due to Ganesh's subhyatra. This means that in some parts of Telangana, schools are closed for two consecutive days. The state school management authority has informed the schools about this.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has scheduled the Eid Milad holiday from Monday, September 16 to Wednesday, September 18. The announcement was made following requests from local leaders of the Muslim community who plan to take out Eid Milad processions. While schools will remain closed in the neighboring state of Haryana, the Eid Milad holiday has not yet been declared in Punjab.
