Economic data coming this week includes housing construction, initial unemployment claims

Wall Street looks to the compilation of economic data starting on Thursday to close out the second half of the trading week.

Initial jobless claims, housing construction starts and U.S. building permits are all due for release at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, as well as the Philadelphia Federal Reserve's manufacturing survey.

Services and manufacturing PMI data will be released on Friday morning, followed by existing home sales data.

Stock futures were little changed on Wednesday

Stock futures were little changed on Wednesday, as investors look to end the short trading week on a higher note following the S&P 500's latest record.

Futures linked to the S&P 500 rose 0.05%, while Nasdaq 100 futures added 0.2%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 41 points, or 0.2%
