Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy explained the purpose of his meeting with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Monday. Talking to reporters, Reddy said that he had met the Defense Minister and requested the establishment of Scenic Schools in Telangana.
“UP and Andhra Pradesh have three and two scenic schools respectively. However, there are no scenic schools in Telangana. That is why I met Rajnath Singh to open scenic schools in Telangana,” the chief minister said.
Reddy also criticized the Modi government over the NEET exam result controversy and demanded a judicial inquiry into the matter.
He also met Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar.

Earlier in the day, Rajnath Singh, along with other newly elected Members of Parliament, was sworn in as a member of the 18th Lok Sabha after the commencement of its first session. Minister for Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Minister for Power Manohar Lal Khattar, Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Jitan Ram Manjhi and Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Rajeev Ranjan (Lalan) Singh were the ministers sworn in as MPs.
