Ghaziabad/Noida: Ghaziabad recorded a minimum temperature of 35.5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, the highest ever recorded. This was 1.5° higher than Tuesday's 34 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature on Wednesday was 44 degrees Celsius. Noida's minimum temperature was 32 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, two notches lower than the previous day's 34 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature soared to 45 degrees Celsius. In the last six days, the minimum temperature in Ghaziabad was between 33 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius, while in Noida it was between 32 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius. Heat-related illnesses among people exposed to the sun, resulting in more hospitalizations. On Wednesday, Sandeep Kumar, a traffic constable at Noida's Maharshi Chowk, fainted due to lack of water on duty. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and is now out of danger. In response, the district administration of Noida has issued a fresh advisory for heat wave conditions, urging people to stay indoors, especially between 12 noon and 3 pm. Residents are advised to wear light-colored clothing, ensure adequate hydration, and take special care of children and the elderly. As the cities face scorching heat, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the monsoon could reach Delhi-NCR around June. 30.
