Suryakumar Yadav, one of the finest batsmen in T20 cricket, has not been cleared for India’s opening Cricket World Cup 2023 match against Australia. As the team management preferred the pair of Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul in the playing eleven, Suryakumar warmed the bench. But, that didn’t stop him from avoiding the attention of the shutterbugs. The aggressive batsman was sitting on the bench having breakfast when a cameraperson noticed him. As the cameraman focused on Surya, the Indian cricket team star’s reaction left fans laughing on social media.

Surya was chewing his food when a cameraperson captured him in the frame. Perhaps realizing that he was on the big screen, the middle-order batsman suddenly decided to stop chewing his food and became completely quiet. Here’s the hilarious video:

Talking about the match, Mitchell Marsh and David Warner opened for the Australian team in the first innings, however, Marsh was out on zero, but Warner (41 runs on 52 balls) and Steven Smith (46 runs on 71 balls) Helped create Australia. In the second innings, Australia got off to a good start after dismissing Ishan Kishan, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer for ducks, reducing India’s score to 2/3. However, Virat Kohli (85 runs off 116 balls) and KL Rahul (97* runs off 115 balls) stitched a solid 165-run partnership to seal a six-wicket win against Australia.

India will take on Afghanistan in their upcoming match on October 11 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
