A notorious Haitian gang stormed a police station in the country, killing dozens of police officers, according to reports.
Reports are emerging that members of a gang led by notorious warlord Jimmy “Barbecue” Charizier have attacked a police station in Grasier, Port-au-Prince, killing at least 20 officers.

The attack is believed to have started on Sunday, June 30.
Haiti Libre said the attack was carried out by members of the “Vivre Ensemble” gang alliance led by “Barbecue”. Other reports suggested that the Bogoy gang was involved.
As for the attack on the police station, reports said several gang members were killed in a “musclet retaliation” by the police.
Ti Bébé Bougoy, the leader of Bougoy, who claimed to be stronger than police forces the day before the attack, was captured, Haiti Libre said.
It was reported that the robbers were using “heavy machinery” to destroy the police station. It has reportedly been confiscated by the authorities.
In June 2022, it was reported that the gang was recruiting homeless and at-risk youth to use as foot soldiers in gang warfare.
