The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered Naughty Dog dev listed on LinkedIn

A reference to a “remastered” version of The Last of Us Part 2 has been spotted on a Naughty Dog developer’s profile, lending further credence to suggestions that an enhanced version of the 2020 PlayStation 4 game is on the way.

Hints that an expanded version of The Last of Us Part 2 is in development at Naughty Dog first surfaced in July, when the game’s composer Gustavo Santaolalla referenced a “new version” that would let players play their banjo. -Will enable you to interact with the playing cameo. In the city of Jackson, he can choose from several songs that he can play.

Santaolalla wouldn’t share any more details beyond that, leaving fans wondering what kind of “new version” he’s actually referring to, but now, Naughty Dog’s lead outsourced artist Mark has now appeared on his LinkedIn profile. Thanks to the update posted by Pajarillo (as seen on Resetera), we can finally get a clearer idea.

The Last of Us Part 2 was enhanced for PS5 in 2021 with 60fps support.

Pajarillo – who worked as an environment artist on the original release of The Last of Us Part 2, as well as other Naughty Dog games, including Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy – wrote that, as the studio’s lead outsourced artist, he “Was responsible for overseeing the production of all outsourced environments, art assets, weapons and interactive props for two iconic titles: The Last of Us Part One and The Last of Us 2: Remastered.”

While the remaster of The Last of Us Part 2 – a three-and-a-half-year-old PlayStation 4 game that has already been enhanced for PlayStation 5 – may raise some eyebrows, a new version that fleshes out the game in a similar As standard as Naughty Dog’s impressive The Last of Us Part 1 remake would certainly make some kind of sense — especially with the renewed interest that’s likely to come in the form of HBO’s live-action The Last of Us. The series has begun adapting Part 2 into multiple seasons.

For its part, Naughty Dog generally remains tight-lipped about projects in development at the studio. Its long-in-the-works The Last of Us multiplayer game was announced in 2019, reportedly after Sony-owned Bungie raised concerns about its “ability to keep players engaged for long periods of time.” Has got into trouble. In May, and we haven’t heard anything else about the “brand new single-player experience” Naughty Dog teased at the same time. As far as The Last of Us Part 3 is concerned, it is yet to be announced but early details have already been leaked online.
