In his post, the man explained that his pastor advised him to ask his fiancee about her sister's relationship with her husband.
When she followed the priest's advice, her fiance confessed that the man had raped her while living with her sister and her husband.
The man shared his full statement:
“My wedding is two weeks away, but just yesterday, my pastor told me to ask my fiancee what's going on between her and her older sister's husband. To my surprise, after several attempts he admitted that he abused her while she was living with them and they both kept it a secret.
He continued, “I haven't been able to tell anyone since I heard it, and now she's crying uncontrollably. After telling her today that we should break up because I'm going to be angry with her, she told me. Begging you to marry me, have I made the right decision?”
The man added that he had already told his fiancee that there would be no more marriage.
Despite his pleas, she fears that he will resent her if they go ahead with the wedding.
