Lucknow: National Research Agency (NIA) On Wednesday, several suspects were detained in a major multi-state crackdown against the terrorist-gangster-drug-trafficker nexus, linked to ‘listed terrorist’ Arash Dilla and many other dreaded gangsters. . State police forces provided necessary assistance and support in the raids.
A total of 53 locations were raided during the day-long operation that began early this morning. During the raids in six states of Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh, pistols, ammunition, large number of digital devices and incriminating materials were seized.

NIA raids continue in Rajasthan in connection with Khalistani gangster nexus.

The locations raided include: Amritsar, Moga, Fazalka, Ludhiana, Mohali, Faridkot, Barnala, Bathinda, Ferozepur, SAS Nagar, Amritsar, and Jalandhar districts of Punjab; Rohtak, Sirsa, Fatehabad and Faridabad districts of Haryana; Sriganganagar, Jhunjhunu, Hanumangarh and Jodhpur districts of Rajasthan; Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh; Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar Apart from the districts of Delhi/NCR of Uttarakhand and south eastern district of UT of Chandigarh.

The NIA said today’s raids were aimed at dismantling the terror-gangster-narcotics trafficker nexus, targeting arms suppliers, financiers and logistics providers associated with various militant groups and their operatives. These gangs are working with drug smugglers and terrorists based in Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Portugal and other countries.

Jammu and Kashmir Police’s SIA conducted raids at several locations in South Kashmir.

The NIA investigation revealed that the conspiracies under investigation were being hatched in prisons in various states and were being executed by an organized network of overseas operatives. Among such conspiracies, the sensational murder of a Maharashtra builder was notable. Sanjay Bayanimining businessman Mahal Singh and international kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal Ambia in Punjab last year.
The NIA said further investigations are underway to dismantle such terror, torture and extortion networks as well as their funding and support infrastructure.
