The NPFL has restored the player licenses of seven clubs.


The Nigeria Premier Football League has restored the licenses of newly registered players of seven clubs from nine defaulters.

These clubs are Enyimba, Plateau United, El Kanimi Warriors, Bayelsa United, Lobi Stars, Akwa United and Heartland.

NPFL Chief Operating Officer Davidson Owome disclosed this in a statement sent to clubs.

Owomi commended the clubs for their speedy compliance with the requirements, which will enable them to play to their full potential.

The NPFL pointed out that Akwa United's licenses were restored at the direction of the NFF pending further investigations into their case.

Abia Warriors, Katsina United, and Kwara United are yet to comply with these directives.

The Daily Post recalled that the licenses of newly registered players of nine teams in the NPFL were withdrawn following unresolved debts of their players.
