Ghaziabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday laid the foundation stone as well as inaugurated many projects, as he dedicated more than 2,000 railway infrastructure projects to the nation. 41,000 crores.

The underpass is a long-pending demand of the residents of Kadkad Model Village (in Sahibabad) located near the New Delhi-Ghaziabad railway section. Local residents face hardships due to railway crossings, and long wait times due to heavy railway traffic.

Modi practically laid the foundation stone for these projects, including the underpass near the Kadkad model village.

This road connects Kadkad Model to Delhi. Due to the movement of trains, the railway crossing is often closed and this creates difficulties for local commuters. Hence, residents have long needed an underpass, Ghaziabad MP General VK Singh (retd) said in a statement.

“There will be a price. 10 crore and will benefit about 10,000 people. The underpass is to be constructed using push box technology. It will consist of seven boxes, each about 10 meters long.

Residents said that the underpass will facilitate traffic.

“With the underpass, residents of the Kadkid model will be able to easily connect to Burj Vihar and other areas. At present, commuters have to use an alternative rail over bridge near Ramaprasth, incurring extra travel. Hence, The underpass will ease movement and also save time,” said Sushil Raghu, a resident of Kadak Model.

According to the Information Department of Uttar Pradesh, the projects include renovation/construction of 74 railway stations and 267 road over bridges/underpasses in Uttar Pradesh.
