Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur said on July 1 that BJP's mandate for the third term is for stability and development.
Opening the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's address, Mr. Thakur said that India was once a weak economy; Over the past 10 years, the country has become the world's fifth largest and fastest growing economy.
Soon, however, the BJP MP raised the voice of Hindutva, saying that India was, is and always will be.Sanatan“

“Sanatan was, Sanatan is, Sanatan will be. (Sanatan was, is, will be there),'' he said. Sanatan (Eternal Path) is a phrase used by some to designate Hinduism as a unified religion.
Even as he congratulated Rahul Gandhi on becoming leader of the opposition, Mr Thakur said the Congress leader now had power with responsibility and “absentee feudalism will not work”.
“Will they sit in the Lok Sabha all day?… They are not there (even) now,” said the BJP leader.
Although Mr. Gandhi was not in the House when the remarks were made, he responded to Mr. Thakur's comments later in his speech.

BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj, making her maiden speech in the Lok Sabha, said opposition members are creating a constitutional crisis in Delhi as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is running the government from jail.
Ms. Swaraj, daughter of late BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, said: “The ground-breaking measures helped the NDA win a majority for the third term. The opposition that imposed the Emergency… that killed democracy. , the same opposition members are creating a constitutional crisis in Delhi as Arvind Kejriwal is adamant that he will not leave the chair and rule from jail.
Rajeev Ranjan Singh of JD(U) accused the opposition of attacking constitutional positions in the country.
From the opposition benches, Congress's Manish Tiwari discussed the new criminal laws that will come into effect from July 1 and said they will establish a police state in the country.
He said that these laws were passed when 146 MPs were suspended from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. “As such, they do not reflect the collective wisdom of the two Houses”.

DMK leader A Raja in his address questioned how the government claimed that it had secured a majority with 240 seats through the President's address.
The address claims that the government is enjoying a majority for the third term. I don't know where they were taught the math that 240 is a majority and they are claiming it through the President.
He said there was a difference between Emergency in 1975 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rule as Indira Gandhi apologized and expressed regret for her decision while what this government was doing was “full-on fascism”.
