A commercial vehicle conductor was killed after a truck overturned and crushed him at Tanza by Ifeanyichukwu Motors, along the Nteje-Awka-Onitsha Expressway in Anambra State, Nigeria.

The accident happened on Thursday, July 4 at around 4:30 pm.

The driver of a commercial Mercedes Actros truck with registration number WKR824XA lost control after the truck's tire burst.

As a result, the truck fell on the road.

A conductor was crushed to death by a truck in Anambra.

The Acting Sector Public Education Officer of the Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Margaret Onabe, confirmed the incident.

He said two male adults were involved in the crash.

One male adult was killed, while one male adult was injured, Onabe said.

He said, “The probable cause of the fatal road traffic accident was tire burst. According to eyewitnesses, the tire burst caused the driver to lose control and fall on the road.

“The accident involved two male adults. One male adult was injured and one male adult was killed.

“Before the arrival of the FRSC rescue team from RS5.3 Nteje, personnel from the Ogidi Police Division took the deceased to the mortuary.”
