There is no outstation leave for doctors in Gurugram for the next three days.

Gurugram Chief Medical Officer Dr. Virender Yadav has canceled the outbound leave for the next three days of all doctors, especially specialists in Gurugram district, to deal with any emergency on the occasion of Diwali.

He said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the incidents of burning on the occasion of Diwali last year. “Usually, burn cases and respiratory and heart problems are more during Diwali”, he said.

Moreover, along with dengue, various diseases like viral and sore throat are also being reported daily in hospitals for the past few months. Currently, 12 dengue patients are admitted in the government hospital here.

District Hospital, Gurugram has a high normal patient flow in the OPD. Every day at least 1,800 to 2,000 patients visit the hospital for treatment of their ailments. In such circumstances it would be very difficult to ignore the health services.

“I have deputed additional doctors in the emergency for the next few days. Every patient coming to the emergency of the district hospital will be treated appropriately.
