GURGAON: A 32-year-old man died in Mumtazpur village when his motorcycle collided with the trolley of a stationary tractor. Patudi Police Station limits on Tuesday night.
Rahul (32), a resident of Darapur village near Pataudi, used to run a furniture shop with his father Mukesh Kumar. At around 9 pm on Tuesday night, Mukesh and Rahul left their shop on separate bikes.
On his way home, Mukesh saw Rahul's bike stuck under the trolley of a stationary tractor on the Pataudi-Darapur road. “The trolley was loaded with paddy straw. It was standing on the road without any indicator lights or safety cones. My son's bike hit the trolley from behind and he got stuck between the bike and the trolley. Some passers-by With the help of her, I pulled Rahul out and shifted him to Civil Hospital in Pataudi, where he was declared brought dead,” Mukesh told the police.
Based on Mukesh's complaint, an FIR was registered against the tractor driver at the Pataudi police station under sections 106 (death due to negligence) and 281 (speeding on public road) of the BNS. He is yet to be identified.
In his complaint to the police, Mukesh alleged that the tractor had no registration number and its driver was not in the vehicle when he reached there. He said that the accident happened due to the carelessness of the driver.
Pataudi ASI Anand Kumar said that we are trying to identify the accused. The vehicle has been impounded.
