Unbearably sad doorbell cam footage shows excited family preparing for baby's arrival … then returning home days later with an urn containing ashes

Poignant doorbell camera footage shows an excited family preparing for the arrival of a new baby … and then returning home distraught with an urn containing ashes after the baby was stillborn.

A couple named Jesse and Nate, both 32, decided to share the disturbing clips on TikTok after asking Jesse's sister and brother-in-law to be godparents to their unborn son, whom they have named Matthew.

Clearly excited by the request, Jessie's brother-in-law can be heard saying: “There were definitely good vibes inside,” while he points to the “Good Vibes” doormat.

The couple, who live in Naples, Florida, had to be hospitalized just before Christmas. Unfortunately, on December 25, their much-awaited son was born dead.

Footage later shot on the same doorbell camera shows the grieving family bringing Matthew's ashes home in an urn after the infant's funeral.

Footage of the couple leaving Jessie and Nate's house showed how happy they were when asked.

Jessie says that despite the gravity of the tragedy that happened to them, she still enjoys seeing her loved ones filled with excitement when asked to be Matthew’s godparents.

Jesy shared two clips on her TikTok page and wrote on her post: “Thank you Ring. We watch this footage often.

'We are so grateful to have captured these moments. I hope one day I will be able to capture some happy moments too.'

Speaking to Newsweek, Jessie revealed her water broke on Christmas Eve and what should have been the happiest day of her life turned into a nightmare.

Hospital staff were unable to find her baby's heartbeat and an ultrasound confirmed he had died.

“Our world fell apart, we were dealing with this unimaginable loss, even as I continued to go into labor,” she told the outlet.

A day later, on Christmas morning Matthew was born, of whom Nate said: 'He was physically perfect in every way. 10 fingers, 10 toes and a head full of thick, curly brown hair.

'His 9 pound, 5 ounce body and 22.5-inch length symbolized his strong presence, [but] Despite his perfection, he did not breathe.'

The couple spent the day with their baby while family members gathered around the couple, singing songs and kissing their son.

Jesse added: 'We sang to him, held him and kissed his little fingers and forehead. Nate and I prayed for him one last time and then said our final goodbyes to him as he was driven to the funeral home.'

He said the toughest moment was when his nurse covered his crib with a white sheet and was carrying him.

The footage he shared on his TikTok page has garnered over 4 million views so far.

Users commenting on the video clip also noticed that the doormat with 'Good Vibes' written on it in the second clip had been removed.

In response to a commenter's question, Jessie said: 'This was the first thing I asked my husband to throw on me when he got home.'

Another said: 'Mattie will always be missed, the way you all loved her was boundless. I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby.'

Jessie also told the outlet that their close friends and family also stood by the couple after they returned home.

He said: 'We held a touching memorial service attended by around 300 people [and] Matthew's godparents were tasked with driving [him] 'After the service he returned home in his sweet little urn.'

Following the tragic death of their child, the couple have created a personal support group called Matty’s Corner.

Nate said the group 'helps provide solace to parents who have lost a child.'
