great indian family reviews

The Hindustan Times review of The Great Indian Family states, “TGIF is disguised as a story advocating an ideology of all religions. Acharya returns to direction after five years after the failure of Thugs of Hindostan. However He works hard, there’s something off about the whole narrative, which doesn’t let the characters talk to you.

Even with such a stellar line-up of actors, the story remains superficial and doesn’t try to delve into anything meaningful. There is a cursory mention of anti-Muslim riots, but only through a flashback sequence. When it comes to serious rally performances by mass artists, no one complains.”
