Virginia Department of Health to conduct long-term COVID study


Lynchburg, Virginia. – The Central Virginia Health District is conducting a study about long-term COVID and its impact on our region.

This defines long COVID as when a person remains sick months after getting COVID-19.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, symptoms include trouble breathing, fatigue, cough and problems with organs like your heart or kidneys.

It says you do not have to be diagnosed with long-term COVID to participate in the study.

Requirements to be part of the study include:

a) having had COVID-19 at least once

B) experiencing symptoms that last for at least two months after infection

c) Reside in Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford or Campbell County or the City of Lynchburg.
