WhatsApp's community-exclusive events feature is now available for group chats

Last month, WhatsApp announced a feature called Events for Communities and said it would be rolled out “in the coming months” for groups that are not part of any community. Although WhatsApp has not said when the feature will be available worldwide for all group chats, it is already available to some users on WhatsApp Android beta version

This revelation is as follows WABetaInfoWho shared a screenshot (included below) showing the events feature also available for regular group chats that aren't connected to any community.

Clicking the paperclip icon in a group chat now shows an additional “Event” icon that lets you create a new event. Once created, group members can view and accept the event invitation, while modifications to the event can only be made by the creator of that event. It's also worth mentioning that group events are end-to-end encrypted.

If you're an Android user and can't wait for the public rollout of the Events feature for regular group chats, you can sign up for the beta program to try it out.
