Youth Congress protests in Gurugram over NEET paper leak


Gurugram: In response to the many scams related to entrance and recruitment exams, including the recent Eligibility-cum-Entry Test (Undergraduate) or NEET-UG paper leak, the UGC NET exam scandal, and the HCS recruitment scam, members of the Gurugram Youth Congress at the Post Office Protested. Youth Congress District President Nishit Kataria said that the purpose of the protest was to create awareness about the malpractices in education and recruitment process in the district. He said that these scams have jeopardized the future of many hardworking students and candidates.

The medical entrance exam, NEET-UG, was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 5 in which around 2.4 lakh candidates appeared. The results were announced on June 4. The National Testing Agency said that the test was conducted again on Sunday in which 813 students out of 1563 candidates participated.

In states like Bihar, there have been allegations of question paper leakage and other irregularities in the examination. These allegations led to protests in several cities and petitions were filed in several High Courts as well as the Supreme Court.

The Congress party has been protesting peacefully in the interest of the students and the members said they will continue till those affected by the NEET-UG paper leaks and corruption get justice.

During the protest, Youth Congress members carried banners and posters while shouting slogans to express their dissatisfaction. He called for an end to the injustices done to students and youth and demanded reforms in the education system to prevent such incidents in the future.

Kataria said that the NEET paper leak, UGC NET exam scam, and HCS recruitment scam are signs of deep-rooted corruption and incompetence in the education system. “These scandals have not only affected the future of students but also raised serious questions on the credibility of the education system,” he said.

The protesters demanded a fair and speedy investigation into the paper leak case by the CBI or a retired Supreme Court judge and severe punishment to the guilty. “Implementation of new and strict rules to ensure transparency in the education and recruitment process. We want action against the officers and employees involved in these scams or whose negligence causes them to waste time and students. stress without fail,” said NSUI president Amarjit Gujjar.

The protesters also demanded protection of students' interests. Special measures to protect the interests of students so that their efforts and time are not wasted in future.

Several students and parents also shared their experiences during the protest, describing how these scandals ruined their hard work and dreams. He demanded the government to solve these problems immediately and punish the culprits severely.

Kataria said that if their demands were not met, they would intensify their agitation and stage large protests if necessary. He said that he will not rest until the education and recruitment system is improved.

Youth Congress members also criticized the opposition and said that the anti-people policies of the present administration have not only upset the youth but the entire population of Haryana.
