GURGAON: A government official was found dead at his home in Sushant Lok on Wednesday night. Sources said he was a central intelligence officer. However, police officials maintained that he was a “government contractor”. According to the police, Rajeev Gupta (52) was living alone in his flat. Other residents in the building alerted her family after a foul smell came from her house. Police said the family members reached the flat after calling her when their calls went unanswered. They informed the police, who broke the latch of the door and found Gupta's decomposed body on the bed. “Family members reached the house as he did not respond to phone calls. They ruled out any foul play,” said Inspector Ravi Kumar of DLF Sector 29 police station. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
